Ben is originally from Harlan, Iowa which is approximately an hour and a half west of Des Moines. Ben brings five years of golf course experience to Wakonda. Previously, Ben has done a dual summer internship at The Rochester Golf and Country Club and Somerby Golf Club in Rochester, Minnesota. He has also worked at The Harlan Golf and Country Club and Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa. While studying Turf Management at Iowa State University, Ben is employed at Ames Golf and Country Club and helps out there during the school year. During his previous internships, Ben has been involved with Sprayhawking greens and management of the seasonal staff.
Ben currently lives in Ames and will be making the commute to work everyday. In his spare time, Ben enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, riding dirt bike and street bike. He attends every home, Iowa State, football game and participates in intramural events such as Euchre and softball tournaments.
